ANN BUTTNER-DANYLIW – Operations Manager
Ann works as our unlicensed operations manager and is an integral component to the success of our team. In her position as office manager, Ann is responsible for the overall internal operations of our business. She is the one who ensures the large volumes of daily activity we work through are managed in an efficient, orderly and professional manner. Attending to your real estate needs in a relaxed, professional manner, with above average attention to detail is the level of service you can expect from us.
Ann was born and grew up in Toronto. At a very early age she showed prowess to succeed at a very high level. As a teen she attended a highly specialized school with a modified course program that allowed her to pursue competitive swimming at a very advanced level. Although she was on track to perform on the world stage, an unfortunate injury prevented her from being able to continue her dream.
Never being one to sit idly by, she quickly moved on to work for Timothy’s Coffee. Her business acumen was identified early on and she was quickly elevated to the position of being responsible for opening new stores in and around metro Toronto. The consummate overachiever, Ann also found time to attend university and successfully attain a B.A. degree. Prior to leaving Toronto to move to BC, Ann was the General Manager for a large property holding company where she had 75 employees and some 1500 properties to manage.
Upon arriving in BC, Ann quickly found employment as a pharmaceutical representative working for Abbott Laboratories. She retired from this vocation upon the arrival of her and Brian’s children Jakob and Maggy. In addition to her many accomplishments in her various careers and athletic endeavours, Ann enjoys spending time with family, many outdoor pursuits, reading and working in the garden.
With Ann‘s strong background in business as well as academics, you can rest assured knowing that your real estate transaction; from the processing of the paperwork to the arranging of appointments and everything in between, is being handled by a highly skilled and proficient office manager. Jessica Castle – Advisor
Jessica recently relocated to Vancouver Island after discovering its charm, unsurpassed natural beauty & wonderful lifestyle it has to offer residents & visitors alike. Born in France, raised in Florida & then traveling much of the world after completing a Hospitality & Tourism degree at University, Jessica brings a world of international business experience, a curated listed of global contacts combined with strong marketing & interpersonal skill to her real estate clients. She is motivated by a strong desire to help each of her clients reach their unique real estate goals & brings a professional, detail orientated yet approachable outlook to the table.
Jessica grew up playing golf on the world stage, which afforded her many invaluable life skills. Her tenacity & passion for the game of golf earned her a full athletic scholarship to play for Wake Forest University in North Carolina until injuries forced her to retire from competition altogether. Not willing to give up on the game yet, she instead pursued internships with the PGA & Senior PGA Tour which afforded her exposure to every aspect of the multi-million dollar professional sporting business, including PR, sponsorship sales, volunteer recruitment & training, & logistics management. After completing these internship Jessica decided it was time to explore other avenues & interests.
Her love of the sea & the desire to travel the world prompted Jessica to pursue a career at sea on luxury mega yachts. While sailing to remote destinations, Jessica & the crew catered to & anticipated every need of their billionaire clients while still handling the logistical & day to day operations of provisioning, maintenance, customs, immigration, safety compliance, & human resources. After 6 years at sea, Jessica saw a unique niche producing highly customized, luxury uniforms for yachts, boutique hotels, villa staff & fine dining establishments around the world, building it up into a successful company which she sold upon settling in Maple Bay with her boyfriend & 2 dogs. When not pursuing her interest in the real estate industry, Jessica enjoys hiking, sailing, skiing, & discovering the wonderful craft industries that are being established on the island.
Susie Zacharias – Executive Assistant
Susie is one of our licensed advisors who also works as our office administrator and listing coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for organizing the process that allows our listings to shine within our marketing plan. Her keen eye and
conscientious nature allow for these responsibilities to be carried out efficiently and effectively, which in turn, makes “The Agency” so successful in selling our clients’ homes. She also maintains close contact with clients to provide support and to keep them constantly informed about how their home is perceived by potential buyers. As a licensed advisor she has been an asset to our team as she can assist in all aspects of our business.
Susie was born in Victoria and moved to the lower mainland with her family in 1985. She grew up in White Rock, but always had the desire to move back to Vancouver Island.
After graduating from college with a diploma in Marketing Management, Susie enjoyed a career in paper sales with Coast Paper in Vancouver. Having a family of her own, she continued to live in White Rock. With her interest in real estate, she decided to pursue work as an unlicensed assistant. After 14 years as an assistant, and raising her two boys, she found the time to become a licensed real estate agent. Once her boys were grown she knew it was time to get back to Island life. Susie and her husband decided to by an acreage and build their dream home in Ladysmith. She loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys exploring the outdoors.
